Obituary of Perry Douglas Walker

Perry Douglas Walker, 62, of Rt. 9, Keeseville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH, in Plattsburgh. He was born in Elizabethtown on July 15, 1959. Perry grew up in Upper Jay and attended AuSable Valley High School. Perry began a career with the NYS Dept. of Corrections in 1988 and was still serving at the time of his passing. One of Perry's greatest loves was being a grandfather and spending time with his grandchildren. His interests also included metal working and carpentry. If you had a question pertaining to either, he could probably answer it. He also had an extensive interest and knowledge of firearms and motorcycles. Left to cherish the memory of Perry are, his wife, Heidi Walker; four children, Anthony (Jessica), Nicholas, Alexander (Alexandra), and Vincent (Susan); two step-children, Leann (Jake) and Justin; seven grandchildren, Connor, Felix, Raylan, Jack, Beau, Rylee-Anne, and Adalee; siblings, Elaine (Bill), Doug (Sandy), and Sherri (Kurt) Barry; and several nieces and nephews. Perry was predeceased by his parents, Doug LaFountain and Janice LaFountain; and sister-in-law, Debra Ann Walker. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 from 3 to 5 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Perry Douglas Walker may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
