Donald S. Anderson, 90, of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Meadowbrook Healthcare with his loving family by his side. He was born in Malone on December 6, 1931, the son of Donald E. and Dorathea (Stewart) Anderson. Donald attended Franklin Academy High School and St. Lawrence University. His life long career was in education and he retired as the Superintendent of Malone Central Schools. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to visit family and friends, fishing and boating, photography, golf, cooking and was an avid story teller. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 67 years, Ann (Duquette) Anderson; children, Beth Myerly, Sarah Yeager (Dave), Dora Anderson (Rick) and daughter-in-law, Dr. Pamela Reinhardt. Also his grandchildren, Robert Smith (Lori), Ian Anderson (Taylor), Dr. Eliza Anderson (Colin), Devon Anderson (Rebekah), Emily Girard (Joseph), Zachary Yeager (Erika), Jen Yeager (Bryce) and Erin O'Malley (Riley) as well as great-grandchildren, Andrew, Colin, Audrey, Jack and two babies due in June. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving and cherished son, Dr. David Anderson, and brother, James Anderson. Honoring his wishes there will be no public calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Donald S. Anderson may be made to the Dr. David Anderson healthcare scholarship fund at Beekmantown Central School District. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
