Obituary of Ricky Allen Miner

Ricky Allen Miner, 66, of Honey Drive, Plattsburgh, died Monday, April 18, 2022, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, April 10, 1956, the son of Clarence and Margaret (Trombley) Miner. He grew up in Beekmantown and attended Beekmantown Central School. He was a hard worker and always enjoyed trucking. His last employment was with T & T Trucking in Plattsburgh, owned by Todd Deyo, who was also a good friend. Ricky loved being surrounded by family and attending picnics and bonfires. He was a kind soul and was always ready to help others. Left to cherish the memory of Ricky are his children, son, Eric Miner and his wife, Vanessa Swing of Alexandria, Va; daughter, Heather Miner-Goetz and her husband, Jay Goetz of Glenville; his grandchildren, Taylor Miner of Morrisonville, Gideon Rock of Fort Irwin, Ca, Logan Rock of Kissimmee, Fl, and Adalyn Goetz of Glenville; brothers, Donald (Janet) Miner, Carl (Dawn) Miner, Rodney Miner, Randy (Holly) Miner, Carolyn Chauvin, and Kathy Miner; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Margaret Miner; daughter, Stacey (Miner) Rock; brothers, Roger and Ronald Miner; and sister, Mary (Miner) Burke. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 5 to 6 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at 6 pm in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
