Leonard H. Guimond, 84, of Keeseville died on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh with his loving family by his side. Leonard H. Guimond was born 12/28/1937 in Plattsburgh, NY, son of Leonard and Lena (Bell) Guimond. His career as a plumber began with MA. Hardy and Son’s from 1954 – 1964 and then with the PAFB Civil Engineers as a plumber from 1964 until his retirement in 1995. With the transition from PAFB to PARC he continued his work as a plumber for them from 1995 – 2005. He was a lifetime member of the Keeseville Elk’s Lodge and served in the US Army with an Honorable Discharge. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Linda of 20 years. His children, Cheryl (Mayer) Scher of Troy; Gregg (Terri) Guimond of Keeseville; Karen Carter (Tracy) of West Chazy; Stepchildren, Gil (Kristi) Liberty of Latham; Norma (Larry) Jensen of Arizona; Grandchildren, Leah Borden, Zach Scher, Dylan Carter, Devin Carter, Meghan Guimond, Jake Guimond; great-granddaughter, Caralena Toyama; His brother Gerald Guimond of Saranac, NY. There will be no public calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11 AM at St John’s Church, Keeseville. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery will be in the spring. A celebration of his life for family and friends will be held following the Mass at their home. In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Leonard H. Guimond may be made to the Keeseville Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville, 834-7667.
