Obituary of John C. St. John
Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John St. John, 79, of Bucks Corners Road, Cadyville, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2021 at Meadowbrook Healthcare, Plattsburgh.
He was born in Cadyville, NY, on October 25, 1942, the son of George and Grace (Goddeau) St. John.
John had a desire to serve and so, joined the Marine Corps in 1961 where he achieved the rank of Corporal, serving his country until 1967. He married Bonita Miner in 1969 and welcomed a daughter in 1970. John began working at NYSEG and spent the next 31 years working as a First Class Lineman. John was a true outdoorsman. He loved spending time outside hunting, fishing and bird watching from his porch as well as taking long rides on his Harley. John was an avid lover of guns and was a gunsmith and spent many happy years at The Plattsburg Rod and Gun Club. His two passions were the Yankees and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a prankster and loved to make people laugh. We often referred to him as the Mayor because he knew everyone no matter where he went. He was loved by all who knew him. John always had a smile and a story to tell. He will truly be missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Nicole Clark and grandchildren, Arabella and Chase Clark; sister, Mary Anne Carroll; and his brother, Robert St. John and wife, Angela.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Bonita (Miner) St John; grandson, MacKenzie Clark; and his sister, Yvonne White.
