First met John at Parris Island, when he tossed me, a newbie, my USMC uniforms. I stated Plattsburgh, NY, Sir. He asked me if i had ever heard of Saranac!!!!!! I answered, Yes, Sir. Always great to see him around town and brother Bob. RIP, Marine.
