Obituary of Kristi Shpur

Kristi L. Shpur, age 42, of Peru, NY, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022 after a long, difficult battle with an autoimmune disease and cancer. She fought both courageously for many years. She was born June 1, 1979 in Plattsburgh, NY, daughter of Jean (Suddard) and Jerry Shpur. Kristi graduated from Peru Central High School in 1997 and then attended the CVPH School of Radiologic Technology. She worked as a radiology technician at hospitals in Walton, NY and Ticonderoga, NY. She was an excellent technician and continued working until she was no longer able due to her medical conditions. Kristi was a truly sweet and wonderful person. She was known for her kind and generous heart. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and friend. She was also an avid animal lover and adored her many pets. Her dogs and cats were always by her side and provided great comfort. Her dog Yukon was particularly special to her and will always be remembered fondly. She is survived by her daughter, Kloe; father, Jerry Shpur; sister, Kerri (Michael) D’Angelo; and nephews and niece, Luca, Marco and Mia D’Angelo. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Jean Shpur, and her partner, Phillip Hatch. She will be deeply and greatly missed. We are heartbroken to lose her, but take some comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and can now rest in peace. At her request, there will be no calling hours.
