Bob and my father, Joe Alexander, were committed parishioners to St. Augustine’s parish in Peru. When I was in town, I would sit with them at Mass in the left rear of the Church. It was as though they had assigned seats, and knew to expect one another there each Saturday afternoon. When my father was very ill in early 2011, Bob would pick him up and take him, and his oxygen tank, to Mass. Bob was a caring individual and a dear friend to my dad. I am sad to see that he passed but know he’s deservedly in good hands. Thoughts and prayers,

Condolences to Bob’s family. He and others made shopping at the Willsboro Grand Union a pleasurable visit as though you were going to visit friends while you shopped for groceries. Fly high our friend. We’ll always remember your smile.

Bob (Mr. St. John) was one of the finest men I have ever met. When I was 18 Bob hired me to work at the Willsboro Grand Union. I have such fond memories of him. His kindness, curtesy, great sense of humor have always been exemplary and a source of inspiration for me even in my priesthood. I am so blessed to have met such an outstanding man. He was truly a gentleman's gentleman. Our loss is heavens gain. He will be remembered in my humble and daily prayers and masses.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing! He was a friend in Willsboro, so helpful when he managed the local Grand Union as well as with helping me through obtaining a car at the McBride dealership. Bob skied with the youth group at Paleface and Whiteface, always helpful and friendly! I’m so glad he went on the life flight to Washington DC! He will surely be missed!

I was saddened to see that Bobby had passed.
I have had the pleasure of knowing him for years as we both are from Willsboro and have ended
up living in the same community. Our visits will be missed. Bob was always so well liked and respected
in his places of work and did a great job. He left big steps to follow not only in work but in life as well.
Rest In Peace friend.
