
Obituary of Mickie Ann Seymour
Mickie Ann Seymour, 68, of the Turner Road, Morrisonville, died Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Plattsburgh, May 30, 1953, the daughter of Nelson J. and Ruth May (LaDuke) Cody. Mickie graduated from Beekmantown Central School and Clinton Community College.
She married Lester Leonard "Nit" Seymour August 4, 1990; however they have been together for 48 years.
Mickie worked for Lockrows in Plattsburgh for many years.
She loved flower gardening on a little knoll near their home they refer to as "The Hill, she was an avid NASCAR fan an especially Jeff Gordon, and watching the deer and birds in her yard.
Left to cherish her memory are, her loving husband, Lester "Nit" Seymour; her son, Dan Royea; one grandson, Terrance Royea; four siblings, Bonnie Pelkey, Ruth and (Joe) LaForrest, Frank Cody, and Karen (Alan) Rabideau; mother-in-law, Mary "Mitzy" Seymour; three siblings-in-law, Carolyn (Roy) Terry, Pamela (Gary) Cook, and Lisa (Chris) Dupell; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Tracy Royea; brother-in-law, Merrill Pelkey; and father-in-law, Leonard Lester Seymour.
Calling hours will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 from Noon to 2 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the spring in St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville.
