Obituary of William Charles Fisher
Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William Charles “Bill” Fisher, 60, of Cook Street, Dannemora, died Monday, December 13, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Columbia, South Carolina, August 26, 1961, the son of William and Patricia (Seely) Fisher. He grew up on the beaches of Long Island as well as the banks of the St. Lawrence River in upstate New York. An avid fisherman, Bill also liked to catch blue clawed crabs and dig for clams. The oldest of 7, Bill’s love of the water surely rubbed off on his siblings.
He was a collector, always looking for beach glass, arrowheads, antiques, and books. A graduate of both St. Catharine College and Eastern Kentucky State University, Bill was a political science major. He stayed informed on news and politics, and was always ready to tell a story.
He had an adventurous spirit and was always ready to go for a hike or to new fishing spots. This spirit made him a favorite of his younger brothers, cousins, and his own children. A father of three, Bill was always very proud of Jillian, Michael, and Catharine who survive him.
His deep blue eyes and infectious smile will be deeply missed as Bill embarks on the ultimate adventure. Rest in peace Deedle…
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
