Obituary of Cynthia Lee Smart
Cynthia Lee Smart went to meet the Heavenly Father on October 29, 2021. She was born on July 6, 1959. She grew up in AuSable Forks and attended Holy Name School and spent her high school years at AuSable Valley until she moved to Kentucky for graduation. During her teenage years she met the love of her life, Kevin Smart, and was married on August 27, 1977 at St. Matthew’s Church in Black Brook. Cindy and Kevin lived their entire marriage in Silver Lake and were blessed with three beautiful daughters. Throughout the years, Cindy managed Kevin Smart’s Auto Sales and owned Candles and Creations in Saranac. Cindy had a heart for the Lord and was a member of the Church of Assumption in Redford. Cindy cherished her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved her homesteading and being outside. She also took great pride in feeding the birds and watching wildlife, gardening, picking wildflowers and berries with her grandchildren, camping, boating and spending days at the beach. Her hands could make or build anything. She was an amazing gather. She loved making crafts, decorating her home and outdoors, playing baseball with the littles, listening to music, dancing, and shopping. She spent many evenings moon-gazing and sitting around the campfire with family. Cindy’s love for photography to capture the perfect moment was her gift to share with others and brought her great joy. She had such a free spirit. She had a heart of gold and saw the best in everyone she met. She lovingly helped her family in so many special ways. She brought us close to our faith, gave advice, and showed us love and patience. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Kevin Smart, three daughters Ashley Kalvaitis (Justin Bushey), Amber (Danny) Beggs, Alina (David) Macey. Seven amazingly beautiful grandchildren. She open heartly adored her grandchildren Adelle and Avan Kalvaitis, Gavin, Brynn, Weston Beggs, Elliot and Jayce Macey. Her sisters, Karen (Mike) Cross, Kathy (Rick) Siddon, Sue Anderson, Donna Coleman, Pam (William) Baldridge and their children. Wesley (Patricia Smart) and their children and Rebecca Smart Paradise (Rick) and their child. She was predeceased by her parents Lon and Patricia Coleman, her in laws, Raymond and Frances (Sandy) Smart, and brother in laws John Anderson and Stanley Smart. To celebrate her life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Noon at the Church of Assumption in Redford. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory may be made the Ronald McDonald House in Burlington.
