Obituary of Joyce Ann Tromblee

Joyce Ann Tromblee, 88, of the Union Road, Peru, died Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, March 9, 1933, the daughter of Arthur and Aurella (Geroux) Garrow. Joyce grew up in Dannemora. She married Rolland Tromblee on February 16, 1952 in St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. He predeceased her July 31, 1998. She was a loving homemaker and also worked on the family's farm. Joyce loved spending time with her family, daily telephone visits with family and friends, and her weekly breakfast gathering with her siblings. She also enjoyed crafting. There was never a time that a craft wasn't in progress. Left to cherish the memory of Joyce are, her four children, Rolland (Sue) Tromblee of Peru, Dennis (Pam) Tromblee of Ballston Spa, Raney (Melanie) Tromblee of Cape Neddick, Maine, and Amy (Tim) Kennedy of Peru; grandchildren, Rolland "RJ" Tromblee (Nichole Christiansen) of Peru, Jennifer Tromblee of Rensselaer, Chad (Amanda) Tromblee of East Schodack, Brandy (Harold) Hendges of Schenectady, Brittany (Rachel) Tromblee of Saco, Maine, Morgan Tromblee (Sophie Radecki) of Boston, Massachusetts, Kyla (Chris) Garand of Albany, and Connor Kennedy of Charlotte, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Avery, Madison, and Natalie Tromblee of Peru, Olivia and Aiden Tromblee of East Schodack; siblings, Russell (Nancy) Garrow of Webster, Florida, William (Frances) Garrow of Peru, Beverly (Winston) Duprey of Silver Lake, and Mary (Herbert) Farrell of Morrisonville; brother-in-law, Herbert (Carol) Tromblee of Essex Junction, Vermont; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Carol Palmer; and granddaughter-in-law, Sarah Tromblee. Calling hours will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 from 11 to 1 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Keeseville. A reception will follow at Joyce's home. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
