
Obituary of Gean Marie Darrah

Gean Marie Darrah, 83, of the Middle Road, Willsboro, died Friday, September 3, 2021 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Swastika, August 23, 1938, the daughter of Roger and Rita (Furnia) LaDuke. Gean grew up in AuSable Forks.
She married George Joseph Darrah, September 22, 1956 in Holy Name Church in AuSable Forks. George predeceased her March 13, 2016.
She was proud to have cared for the elderly for many years in Bradenton, Florida.
Gean enjoyed sewing and was a member of a sewing club that made clothes for children in Costa Rica. She was a wonderful cook throughout her life.
Left to cherish the memory of Gean are, three sons, Jeff (Kathy) Darrah of St. Cloud, Florida, Jimmy (Celine Pare) Darrah of Peru, and Darren (Mark Bonfey) Darrah of Willsboro; brothers, Jack (Nancy) LaDuke, and William (Diane) LaDuke; sister-in-laws, Angie LaDuke; Edith (Howerton), Diane (Hopkins); brother-in-law John Darrah; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Bryan Darrah; two grandchildren, Seth, and Geneva; brothers, Eli (Ginger) LaDuke and Walter LaDuke; and sister, Theresa (Paul) DeRusso.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 1 PM in the Calvary Cemetery in Willsboro.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the Elmore SPCA.
