Obituary of Joyce M. Hough

Joyce Mae Hough, 86, of the Davison Rd, Mooers Forks, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2021 at her home under the care of her loving family and Hospice of the North Country. She was born May 16, 1935 in Ellenburg, the daughter of Thomas and Armeda (LaBombard) Boadway. Joyce was married to Robert Hough on September 18, 1954 in Ellenburg. She worked as a seamstress most of her life. She also worked in the school cafeteria in Mooers where she enjoyed being with the children. Joyce was a member of St. Ann’s Church and a lady of St. Ann’s. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Hough; as well as two brothers and two sisters. Left to cherish the memory of Joyce are her children, Diane and Herbert Dann, Debra and David Burdo, Sheila Perreault, David Hough and partner Mary all of Mooers Forks; step son, Donald St. John; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three brothers and three sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 1 to 4 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 6, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Mooers Forks, with the Rev. Adrian Gallagher, celebrating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery. A reception will follow in St. Ann's Parish Center. Donations in memory of Joyce Mae Hough may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
