Obituary of Gladys M. Ormsby

Born in the summer of 1931 and reaching her 90th birthday, Our beloved Grandmother, Mother, and Friend to all who knew her, has passed into the arms of the Lord. Gladys will be remembered for the love and care she gave, her lively discussions, travel, times with extended family and friends, volunteering at harvest dinners and other events, her delicious meals, her love of camping, support to her husband in his trucking business, and her recall of how things were in the "olden days". Carrying Gladys' memory on in our Ormsby hearts are her four sons, John, Joseph, Irvin and Thomas; grandchildren Joey, Dustin, and Kelsey; and great-grandson Jace. She also leaves behind many special friends in the Bair, Rock, Gordon, Hamilton and Todd families, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by husband Raymond Ormsby and grandson Josh Ormsby. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 1 to 2 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating. Burial will follow in the Peasleeville Cemetery.
