Leah, Daniel, Susie, I hope you are fully aware of the wide impact Rhoda has had in the community - probably you are, but I want to tell you so anyway. We, her Spanish conversation group have been consoling one another. We in the group of course are nowhere as close to Rhoda as you, her children, are, but even I myself have received condolences from 2 friends who found out about the loss of Rhoda from other sources. BIIN also sent out a special notice about Rhoda. Laura is broken-hearted. For you, the loss seems like it must be unspeakable. More than 45 years ago I lost my own mother, also quite unexpectedly. There has been no worse pain in my life, even tho it has (fortunately) faded by now. I can't even remember very much of the days around her death, but one thing I do remember is how much it meant to me to see so many people at her service. What I most want you to know is that hundreds of people here in BCS are mourning with you for the wonderful, generous, loving, remarkable person who was your mother, dear Rhoda. --Rosemarie Swanson
