Obituary of Joan Mary Bulriss

Joan Mary Bulriss, 86, formerly of Route 11, Mooers, died Sunday, July 11, 2021 in Plattsburgh, under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Champlain, February 23, 1935, the daughter of Lawrence and Evelyn (Roberts) Beebe. Joan grew up in Coopersville where her parents owned and operated Beebe's Grocery for many years. She attended school in Chazy. Joan worked at the slipper factory in Mooers for a time and then Delagar in Rouses Point for many years prior to retiring. She loved scrapbooking, baking, gardening, bird watching, and spending time with her family. Left to cherish the memory of Joan are, one son, Christopher Bulriss of Mooers; three daughters, Debra Jubert of Rouses Point, Cheryl Fournia of Plattsburgh, and Lisa (Greg) Dew of Plattsburgh; former daughter-in-law, Laurie Ano of Peru; seven grandchildren, Jason Jubert, Tricia Guay, Casey (Jessica) Bulriss, Katelyn Fournia and fiance Corey Bissonette, Connor Dew, and Brooke Dew; five great-grandchildren, Brittney Jubert, Kyler Guay, Karissa Guay, Javon Jubert, Layla Jubert, Brantley Bulriss, and Colton Bulriss; siblings, Teotis Donah, Audrey (Larry) Douglas, Richard (Jackie) Beebe, and Ann (Kevin) Coty; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Clifford Bulriss; son, Glen Bulriss; grandson, Corey Bulriss; and parents-in-law, Archie and Evelyn (Garrand) Bulriss. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM in St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Committal prayers and entombment will follow in the Town of Ellenburg Mausoleum. A reception will follow at the Mooers Fire Dept. Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country. Joan's family would like to offer a special "thank you" to Hospice staff especially, Heather, Ashley, Terri, Katie, Sr. Mary Ann, and Sue for the exceptional care provided during her final time here.
