Obituary of Ronnie L. Locke

Ronnie Lee Locke passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4th, 2021 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont with his loving wife, Charlotte by his side. Ronnie was born on April 29th, 1955 in Willits, California to Rosemary and Raymond Locke. He grew up in Willamina, Oregon, where he formed a close bond with his Step-Dad, Virgil Lucht. After graduating, Ronnie joined the United States Marine Corps, where he earned his sharpshooter certificate. He was an honorable, hardworking, versatile man. Ronnie has worked as a cook, a supervisor at Sierra Therm, and a security guard. He served the Salvation Army and the Pajaro rescue mission for men in California, no doubt making a positive impact on the lives he touched. Ronnie and his wife Charlotte formed a music ministry together where they sang and shared their love of God to many. Ronnie was a warm-hearted, kind man, never hesitating to help those in need. He was also strong and dedicated to his faith. He cherished his family and friends and loved spending time with them above all else. Ronnie had a wide array of interests. Some of these were: golfing, watching football, Singing Johnny Cash songs, and being a collector. He had a special bond with his cat, Blackie. He loved to travel. Ronnie and Char had many adventures together, even meeting Charlie Pride on one of their road trips! Ronnie and Charlotte had dreams to travel more and own a cabin. Though he’s left us too soon, his family and friends are comforted in knowing that Ronnie is residing with Jesus in the “Mansion in the sky.” Anyone who knew Ronnie could imagine him smiling down and waving, surrounded by all of the people he has been reunited with. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Brock) Locke; Step kids, Rebecca (Drollette) LaSalle (Thomas LaSalle), and Philip Drollette (Stephanie Mahuta); Step siblings, Angie, Pam, Johnny and Kip; grandkids, Ashlyn Drollette, Dahlia LaSalle, Raymond LaSalle, Breanna Rock, Jaylee Drollette, and Rachel Rock; Siblings, Roberta Waddell and Raymond Locke (Terrie Locke); And many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special Aunts and Uncles, Paulette Locke, Jasper Locke, Mary Cooper, Aunt Mabel, Aunt Bonnie, and Aunt Joyce; as well as the Risseeuw family, and many friends and extended family members. He is predeceased by his parents, step parents and his special nieces, Angela Brock and Tierra Reynolds. “Now don’t be grieving ‘cause I’m leaving And don’t cry when I say goodbye There’ll be no grieving to where I’m going To my mansion up in the sky” -The Booth Brothers All services will be private.
