Obituary of Shirley Ann LaMountain

Shirley Ann LaMountain, 83, formerly of the Highland Road, Keeseville, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 23, 2021, from the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Ron and Norma Bailey. She was born in Keeseville, February 19, 1938, the daughter of Willard "Puss" and Viola (Spooner) Blaise. Shirley graduated from Keeseville High School in 1955. She married the love of her life, Walter LaMountain, April 21, 1956, at St. John the Baptist Church in Keeseville. They were married for 57 years prior to his passing, September 4, 2013. Left to treasure her memory are, her son, Jeffrey Paul and his wife Darlene (Darling); grandchildren who fondly referred to her as "Nan", Christopher and his wife, Molly, Andrea and her husband, Jason Buesser, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Kaleb, Scott, Annika, Olivia, Grace, and Riley; Loving sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Ronald Bailey; special nephew and his wife, Todd and Tess Bailey; nephews, Willard and Virgil Blaise; niece, Cindy Hart; special cousin who was more like a sister, Norma "Susie" Snow; and numerous other special cousins. Meeting her in heaven include her parents; devoted husband; special angel, son, Scotty Joe; brother, Sonny; and nephew, Robbie. At Shirley's request there will be no public calling hours or services. Burial will be held at a later date in St. John's Cemetery in Keeseville. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. Donations in her memory may be made to High Peaks Hospice. Her family would like to offer a special "thank you" to her sister and caregiver, Norma Bailey, Tracy Duquette, and High Peaks Hospice.
