Obituary of Grace C. Murphy

Grace C. Murphy, 89, of the Lake Shore Road, Chazy, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh. She was born in New Milford, CT. on March 14, 1932, the daughter of James and Cornelia (Romaine) Thompson. Grace Murphy, a farmers wife, was a bus driver in Connecticut, and continued to drive bus for NCCS for over 30 years and was an avid bowler. Left to cherish her memory are her children, two sons, Kenneth and his wife, Dona Murphy of Conn. and James and his wife, Shelley Murphy of Champlain, NY; two daughters, Lois Murphy of North Carolina and Kathleen Murphy of Chazy, NY; grandchildren, James and Kimberly Murphy of Chazy, NY., Jessica and Chris Murphy-Barcomb of Chazy, NY, Autumn Murphy, Vernon and Krista Doyle of N.C., Nicole and Mitch Varnam also of N.C., Tracy Murphy and John Kayak of Conn., Sean and Heather Murphy of Conn, and Kelly and Tim Armbruster of Conn; great grandchildren, Alyssa Murphy, Joe DeLair, Dalton Murphy, Cicily Burleigh, VivianJean Murphy, Archer Murphy-Barcomb, Kaleb Doyle, Reagan and Riley Varnam, Madelyn and Hannah Murphy, and Lexie and Cadence Armbruster. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Vernon Murphy, 1977. Private services will be held at the convenience of her family. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Champlain, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Grace C.
