She was born, Bernice Drollette, in Dannemora, NY on May 20, 1934 to Edgar and Helen (Bates) Drollette. She graduated from OLVA secretarial School and soon after married the love of her life, Ernest "Ernie" Rock on July 23, 1955 and together they had eight children.
