I worked for Emil in the early 70's when he owned The Shortstop. It was a fun time with a lot of good memories. When you are in the restaurant/ bar business you have a lot of crazy experiences to remember! Emil took everything in stride and with humor. He treated me like a daughter telling me "Don't let anyone harass you. If anyone does, you tell me and I will take care of it!" And we had to be the only place in Upstate NY to have a kielbasa hoagie on the menu! Margaret and family, you are in my prayers.

Margaret I remember Emil recruiting me for his softball team from Port Kent when I was 16. I couldn't share a beer after a win but he always wanted me to join everyone in the celebration. Will always have fond memories of him.
