Tom Durkish was instrumental in hiring me to join the Pottersville faculty in July 1976. I served the North Warren Central School District as a counselor, English teacher and as a teacher of Reading. Tom was pivotal in my professional development while I was living in the Adirondacks. Today, 45 years later, I work as an educator, author, broadcaster and owner of Spruce Ridge Media. With all humility, I honor my 45 year friendship with Tom and place him as a prince among men, a true Renaissance man, and a jewel in the crown of Brant Lake, New York.
