Obituary of Gordon N. Giles

Gordon N. Giles, 71, of the Dugway Road, Keeseville, died Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh, November 7, 1949, the son of Loran and Rita (Brown) Giles. He grew up in Beekmantown in the Rand Hill area and attended Beekmantown High School. Gordon proudly served his country with the United States Army until his honorable discharge. He was a North Country logger for his entire working life. Gordon was a former member of the American Legion Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh. In his spare time he enjoyed riding ATVs and time with friends and family over a cold Pepsi. Left to cherish the memory of Gordon are, his devoted son, Loran Giles and his companion, Marissa Hogan; two granddaughters, Morgan and Hailey; siblings, Gary, Harold, and Carol; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Donald and Betty. Calling hours will be held Friday, January 15, 2021, from 6 to 8 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
