He was grandfather to 3 boys, Keegan Luck (Emma), Devin Luck, and Austin Haynes, and great-grandfather to Autumn Haynes; sister, Theresa Curran and three sisters-in-law, Rose Haynes, Rose Haynes, and Rita, also survive. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings and siblings-in-law, Howard Haynes, Alton Haynes, Tom Curran, Walter Haynes (Rita), and Marietta Hamm (Bob). Harry served in the Army during the Korean War, Merchant Marines Service, Air Force during Vietnam for 20 years prior to retiring in 1971. After retiring from the Air Force, he decided to make his home in Peru and bought property from the Frank Irwin family on Clark Road. He spent many years running a paving and construction company. In later years, he developed the Glenwood Subdivision in Peru after seeing what a beautiful area it was. Many families joined that area as its growth continued. Glenwood Plaza was another pet project of his that came to fruition with lots of dedication and positivity to the area. He always had progress and work on his mind until the end as everyone who truly knew him knows that's what kept his ever running mind content. We shall miss him immensely but will always remember his ongoing mantra "He's a good worker." His wheels were always turning much to our chagrin at times. Be at peace now and know your family is continuing the process. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
