Obituary of Henrietta E. Blaise Turnbaugh

Henrietta Elizabeth Blaise Turnbaugh, 96, died peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester, Vermont, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Miller's Falls, MA, July 8, 1923, the daughter of Roy and Marilda (Champagne) Rabideau. She graduated from Keeseville High School at age 15. Henrietta held a variety of jobs over the years, taking pride in all she did. She was a member of the Keeseville Volunteer Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, and spent the previous 17 years managing the library at her senior living home. Henrietta was an avid reader, loved bingo, playing cards, country music, dancing, and was a wonderful cook. She was a strong-willed, beautiful soul who never stopped fighting. Her wit and smile will forever be imprinted on the hearts and minds of those who had the honor of knowing her. Left to cherish the memory of Henrietta are, her children, Donna Stone, Charles (Judy) Blaise, Randall (Sylvia) Blaise, and Alan Blaise; grandchildren, Taffela (Michael) Heiserman, Rodney (Venziana) Stone, Judd Blaise, Joey Veivia, Jimmy (Tracy) Veivia, Kimberly Branham, Cara (Jerry) Russin, Jacob Blaise, Catherine (Michael) Metcalf, Lucas (Melinda) Blaise, Tyler (Jenn) Blaise, and Corey Blaise; 34 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, James "Jake" Blaise and their daughter, Gail Mize, and grandson, Gregg Blaise; her second husband, Charles Turnbaugh; brothers, Roger and James Rabideau; and sisters, Ida Lessard and Alma Bresette who join her and all of her friends and extended family as she lives on with the Lord Jesus Christ. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a spring interment Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Monday, May 4, 2020 at 11 am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville, NY. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, also in Keeseville. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville, 834-7667.
