Raymond J. Faubert, 65, of Sunfish Drive, Champlain, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, following a lengthy, but courageous, battle with cancer. He was born in Plattsburgh on November 2, 1954, the son of Arthur and Dorothy (Kemp) Faubert who predeceased him, along with his younger brother, William (Billy) Faubert; and spouses, Beverly and Heidi. Raymond was a kind, fun-loving, brave man who had a great run in life as he fought life's many battles. He never seized to amaze those who loved him. He was a talented, hard-working individual who started his career in military, serving time in the armed forces of the United States Army in Fort Dix, New Jersey. After serving in the military, his working career transitioned him to Middletown, New York where he became an amazing chef. He constructed JLG high-lift units in Pennsylvania, was an avid welder in Champlain, NY, and had to retire from his position as an assembler at Bombardier Transportation when his battle with cancer began. Left to cherish the memory of Raymond are, four children, Carissa, Jason, Christopher and Takisha Faubert; seven siblings, Arthur (Wendy) Faubert, Michael (Sharon) Faubert, Albert (Shannon) Faubert, Timothy (Kat) Faubert, Susan Babbie, Judy (Duane) Tallada, and Patricia (Douglas) Goodfellow; sister-in-law, Laurie Faubert; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring Raymond's request there will be no public calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Raymond J. Faubert may be made to Hospice of the North Country. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers, 236-4747.
