Obituary of Barry T. White

Barry T. White, 66, of Shingle Street, Morrisonville, died Monday, September 9, 2019 at his home, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country.

He was born in Glens Falls, January 16, 1953, the son of Chester J. and Sadie (Agoney) White. He grew up in Schuyler Falls and graduated from Peru Central School in 1971. He married the former Martha Sussdorff August 20, 1971 in Warrensburg.

Barry wore countless hats throughout the years. Businesses he most notably owned and operated include logging, contracting, C and D Landfill, Shingle Street Grocery, Shingle Street Sand and Septic, and White's Property Rentals.

He served as a Town Councilman for the Town of Schuyler Falls from 2012 through 2019, when his illness prohibited him to continue. He was a member of the Sons of the Legion with the American Legion Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh.

Barry enjoyed listening to country music, watching western shows, NASCAR, and spending time with friends and family. Barry will certainly be remembered as a man with drive and determination. He was not easily deterred. If he had a plan in mind, he would forge ahead and make it work.

Left to cherish the memory of Barry are, his wife of 48 years, Martha White; companion, Lori Rennie; children, Chet White, Nick White and his wife Tristin, Heath Rennie, Darcy Rennie, and Brandi Collyer and her husband Doug; granddaughter, Cora Collyer; brother, Ricky White and his wife Nancy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.

At Barry's request there will be no public calling hours or services. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the Schuyler Falls Cemetery.
