She was born in New York City, May 29, 1934, the daughter of Harold R. and Viola L. (Lundborg) Clary. Viola grew up in Locust Valley, Long Island, NY and graduated from Glen Cove High School in 1952.
Viola worked at a few shoe stores and other retail stores too. She worked for the Post Office while living in Long Island. Viola worked for Tambrands Inc. in Willsboro. She worked at a newspaper in Plattsburgh and later worked for the office of the aging.
Viola belonged to a few organizations. When she was young, she was a Girl Scout and later a Girl Scout leader. She loved to sing and belonged to several choirs. Viola developed a love of square dancing and joined a square dance group.
Viola had several interests/hobbies. In her youth, Viola enjoyed dancing. She participated in ballet and tap dancing. Viola enjoyed music and her interests included classical, Belafonte, Elvis and the Beatles with other musicians in between. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano. Viola enjoyed shopping and collecting antiques. She dreamed of having her own antique shop. Viola enjoyed working on paintings and various arts and crafts. I have been told that she always was well dressed and her hair looked very nice. Viola loved clothes and her Mom, also Viola, was a dress designer/seamstress, thus she learned to like beautiful fashion.
