Obituary of Margaret Harnish

Margaret F. "Robin" (Bowe) Harnish, 76, formerly of the Corlear Bay Road, Keeseville, passed away, Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at the Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, following a lengthy battle with a neurological condition.

She was born in Plattsburgh, March 21, 1942 the daughter of John F. "String" and Elizabeth M. (Dapo) Bowe. Robin attended grade school at McCauley Academy and high school at Keeseville Central School graduating in 1960. She received an Associate's Degree from Canton, she continued at Albany Business College and Fairmont State University in Fairmont, WV.

Robin was employed at CVPH in Plattsburgh, Martin Marietta in Lawton, OK, Headquarter Royal Crown Cola in Columbus, GA, British Petroleum in Anchorage, AK, and lastly, Priority Staffing Services in Virginia Beach, VA.

She was very active in her communities; belonging to the Kiwanis International as Club President and LT Governor of the Capital District, Newport News, VA, also with the Police Auxiliary of Newport News, VA, and Peninsula Sales and Marketing Executives Organization of Newport News. She also enjoyed cross stitching, reading, traveling and gardening.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dana P. Harnish whom she married June 3, 1967; children, Rose Ellen (Martin) Veprek of Mardella Springs, MD; 3 grandsons; 6 great-granddaughters; sisters, Mary Beaubriand of Reno, NV, and Elizabeth "Betty" (John) Brelia of Keeseville; brother, John E. Bowe of AuSable Forks; sisters-in-law, Doreen of NC, Wanda of Portland, OR, and Cindy of Oviedo, FL; brother-in-law, Frank of Deland, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews in the Peru and Reno, NV area.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a dear friend, Sandra McGee, October of 2015.

A Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville with Rev. Kris C. Lauzon, parish priest, celebrating.

Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
