Obituary of Franklyn Leclerc

Franklyn R. Leclerc, 76, of Kent Street, Keeseville, died Monday, November 5, 2018, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Plattsburgh, January 2, 1942, the son of Romeo and Lillian (Strong) Leclerc. Frank graduated from Keeseville High School.

He worked for Kings Orchard for several years and later the Town of Chesterfield.

Frank was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a skilled teacher to family and friends, the art of hunting and fishing. He was an avid and longtime fan of the Boston Red Sox.

Left to cherish the memory of Frank are, his loving wife of 53 years, Esther "Lou" (Quinn) Leclerc, whom he married August 14, 1965; two children, Frank Leclerc, and Cheryl (Justin) Cappon; granddaughter, Tiffany Nicolella; sister, Dianne Head; brother-in-law, William Thwaits; siblings-in-law, Mona and Donald LeClair, Diane and Terry Douglas, Ronald and Beatrice Quinn, James Moran, and Susan Upton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Thwaits; brother, Paul Leclerc; and brother-in-law, Carlton Head.

Calling hours will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 from 10 to 11 AM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Keeseville.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh.
