Obituary of Susan Elizabeth Turner

Susan Elizabeth Turner, 84, of Chesterfield Street, Keeseville, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 at her home under the loving care of her family and High Peaks Hospice.

She was born in Keeseville, August 23, 1933, the daughter of Peter and Mary Elizabeth (Robarge) Riani.

Sue graduated from Keeseville High School in 1951. She was a secretary at Diamond Match Inc. in Plattsburgh for several years.

Sue married the love of her life William M. "Bill" Turner in Keeseville on January 23, 1955.

Sue's love and pride of her family was immeasurable. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends; was an avid reader, crossword puzzle whiz, and had a passion for wild flower arrangements. Sue enjoyed playing golf, yard sales, looking for bargains at thrift shops, and had a love for birds. She always had a smile for everyone and her laugh was truly infectious!

For many years, Sue and Bill spent summers in Keeseville and winters in Venice, Florida.

Left to cherish the memory of Sue are her loving husband Bill; sons, Marc, Greg and Chris; daughters, Suzanne and Jennifer; brother, Monsignor Peter Riani; grandchildren Keith, Corry, Ryan, and Aaron Thompson; great granddaughter, Lilliana; sister-in-law, Joan Riani; and many other relatives.

Sue was predeceased by her parents; sister and brother-law, Nancy and Dave McClellan; brother, Richard G. Riani; nephews, Christopher J. Riani and Michael McClellan; brothers-in law, Ted Turner and Joseph Turner; sisters-in-law, Albina Turner, Rachel Winter and "La", and Sherman Willette.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville, on Wednesday August 22, 2018 at 11am with the Rev. Kris C. Lauzon celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends and family may also share their condolences or memories in the guest book available at the church.
