Obituary of Vicki Mauclair

Vicki L. (Martineau) Mauclair, 62, of Kidder Lane, Glens Falls, died Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

She was born in Plattsburgh, June 26, 1955, the daughter of the late Maynard and Carrie (Archambault) Martineau. Vicki grew up in Schuyler Falls and graduated from Peru Central School in 1974. Following graduation she continued her education and earned the title of Licensed Practical Nurse.

She married Lt. Col. Kennel F. Mauclair, December 19, 1983 in Virginia. Kennel died tragically in an aircraft accident, January 21, 2001 in Texas.

Her LPN career spanned 42 years in several states. She was especially fond of her work at the Fireman's Home in Hudson, NY. She had a love for caring for others.

Vicki always cherished her pets among them Major, Bailey, Toby, and her recent pets Suki and Lyla who continue to be loved by Vicki's loved ones.

Left to cherish the memory of Vicki are, her four sisters, Karen (William) Ashline of Plattsburgh, Sherri (David) Sawyer of Glens Falls, Marla (Stephen) Carter of Greenville, S.C., and Betsy (Dennis) Ero of Schuyler Falls; brother, Jeffrey (Becky) Martineau of Belfast, Maine; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Timothy Martineau.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, June 23, 2018 from Noon to 1 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Augustine's Cemetery in Peru.
