Obituary of Carlton E. Bull

Carlton E. Bull, 87, of Saranac, was suddenly called home on Friday, April 20, 2018.

He was born September 9, 1930 in Saranac, the son of Edgar and Anna (Everleth) Bull.

He was a life long resident of Hardscrabble Road in Saranac where he worked on the family farm. For the last several years he has stayed active on his farm producing quality horse hay. Carlton was also a devoted member of the Saranac United Methodist Church.

He was also a past active member of the Saranac Fire Department.

Carlton lived a simple, humble life. He loved family times, working on the farm, hunting with his children and grandchildren, his dog, "Lady" and the New York Yankees.

On November 15, 1958, he married the love of his life, Patricia Carter. They had 32 wonderful years until she passed in 1991. They loved spending time with family, playing cards and dancing. We believe they are reunited and dancing again.

Carlton is survived by his son, Carlton "Bucky" and his wife Sheila of West Chazy and their children, Matthew and wife Sara, Nathan and Maegan; his daughter, Beth and her husband David Besaw of Saranac and their sons, Michael and Justin and wife Michelle; and son James "Jim" and his companion Colleen of Saranac and children Patricia "P.J" and Daniel. He was also blessed with two great-grandsons, Simon Carlton and Lincoln David. Also surviving him is his sister, Naomi and husband Robert Davidson of Saranac, brother-in-law, Francis Carter and wife Mary, sisters-in-law, Lucille and Gloria Carter; uncle, Merlyn Dewey; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brothers and sisters in-law Robert Carter, Leeward Carter, Eugene and Doris Carter, James Carter, Roger and Jackie Wright, Shirley Carter, and Nancy Thomas; and two nephews, Ronald Davidson and Alan Coryer.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 4 to 6 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11 AM at the Saranac United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery in Saranac.

Donations in his name may be made to the Saranac United Methodist Church or the Saranac Fire Department.
