Marvin W. SmithJay - Marvin W. Smith, 52, of the Anthony Road, Jay, died, Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake.He was born in Plattsburgh, February 25, 1956 the son of Darwin and Charlotte (Smith) Watson. He attended school in Syracuse and moved back to the North Country in 1982. Marv, as he was fondly referred to, worked at Whiteface Mountain for 10 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, smoking cigars, and cutting firewood.Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Carolyn R. (Lawrence) Smith, whom he married July 15, 1989 in Upper Jay; his daughter, Roberta Smith of Jay; his mother, Charlotte Smith of Lewis; siblings, Annie Cole and husband Ronnie of Syracuse, Patricia Blaise and husband Raymond Blaise of Keeseville, Laurie Andrews of Keeseville, Guy Warner of Keeseville, Juanita Martin and husband Dan of Lewis, Carla Warner of Keeseville; step-mother, Ruth Watson of Lake Placid; step siblings, Brenda and husband Scott of Lake Placid, Toni and husband Tom of Lake Placid, Tammy Watson of Plattsburgh, and Brett and wife Angie of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his father, and one brother, Darwin Watson.Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 5 to 7pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville.
