James M. Baker, Sr. West Chazy - James M. Baker, Sr., 63, of the LaPlante Road, West Chazy, passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mineville, September 3, 1944, the son of Colice and Edith (Derosia) Baker. James was employed for several years with Bombardier Transporation in Plattsburgh. He was an avid outdoorsman, participating in camping and fishing, and in earlier years he enjoyed bowling. Survivors include his fiance, Tioni Pyle of West Chazy; one son, Nathan of West Chazy; two daughters, Annette Baker, and April Wells, both of Plattsburgh; three grandsons, Bradley, Rusty, and Cory; granddaughter, Nichole; great-granddaughter, Latisha; one brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Ortha Baker of Peru; four sisters, Emma Rexford, Viola Baker, and Gloria Breyette, all of Plattsburgh, and Audrey Carrigan of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one son, James, Jr.; brothers, Freddy and Johnny as infants, and Amos and Leo; two infant sisters, Edna and Debra; and his faithfull pets, Buddy, Jake, and Maxine. Friends and relatives may call Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 1 to 2pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at 2pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home.
