Lyle William Parkinson Chateaugay - Lyle William Parkinson, 50, of Collins Street, Chateaugay, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh, October 23, 1957, the son of John A. and Margaret (White) Parkinson. Lyle was a 1976 graduate of AuSable Valley Central School. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and canoeing. He also enjoyed competing with his Willsboro broomball team. Survivors include his parents John and Margaret Parkinson of Keeseville; seven sisters and three brothers-in-law, Carol Arnold of Wilmington, Delaware, Karen and Rick Kuhns of Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, Susan and Leo Corneau of West Chazy, Nancy and James Welch of Macon, Georgia, Donna Parkinson of Plattsburgh, Barbara Parkinson of Plattsburgh, and Jennifer Parkinson of Keeseville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, John and Linda Parkinson of Attleboro, Massachusetts, and Ken Parkinson of Plattsburgh; five daughters, Nicole Parkinson of Ingraham, Joanne Parkinson of Plattsburgh, and Chelsea, Caroline, and Christina Parkinson of Chateaugay; his faithful companion, Betty Davis of Chateaugay; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, David Arnold; and nephew, Gabriel Corneau. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 11 to 1pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at 1pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home with Rev. Alan D. Shnob, pastor of St. Augustine's and St. Patrick's churches, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery at the Mother Cabrini Shrine.
