George E. Signor Keeseville George E. Signor, 86, formerly of Keeseville, died Thursday, August 7, 2008, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh, September 12, 1921, the son of George and Leah (Domoulin) Signor. He was a graduate of Keeseville High School in 1939. He married the former Joan B. Forrence, April 26, 1943 in Keeseville. She predeceased him October 2, 1999. George owned and operated a family dairy farm for years. He later drove school bus for AuSable Valley Central School and served as dog control officer for the Village of Keeseville and the Town of AuSable. George loved children and animals especially dogs. Survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law, Sally and Scott Woodward of Port Kent, and Lynn and David Ruell of North Chili; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Anne-Marie Signor of Keeseville; eight grandchildren, Sean Morrow, Carrie Poquette, Dawn Pray and husband, Daniel, Billy Morrow, Cherie Ruell, Kim Kraft and husband Peter, Jason Signor and wife Amy, and Samantha Signor; and four great-grandchildren, Gage, Austin, and Bauer Morrow, and Savannah Pray. He was also predeceased by his parents. Calling hours will be held Friday, August 8, 2008 from 6 to 8pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 9:30am at the Immaculate Conception Church with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, pastor, celebrating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the Port Kent Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Westport Animal Hospital or the Elmore SPCA in Peru.
