Alexis Faith Bouyea, 27, of George Street, Plattsburgh, died tragically, Wednesday, January 4, 2023, in an automobile accident in Westport. Her four beloved dogs, Caine, Diesel, Riley, and Ratchet, died with her. She was born in Plattsburgh, March 27, 1995, the daughter of Scott Keith and Kimberly Ann (Haner) Bouyea. She grew up in Plattsburgh and graduated from Peru High School in 2013. In 2017, she began working with the United States Post Office and was currently working from the Champlain office. Alexis was an animal lover through and through. She would even stop on the road for an injured animal and take them home and nurse them back to health. She also enjoyed weightlifting. Alexis was a beautiful young woman, taken too soon. Her personality would light up a room as she entered. Left to cherish the memory of Alexis are, her parents, Scott and Kim Bouyea; fiance, Macenzie; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth Bousquet, Vicki Goddeau, Laurie (Gene) Provost, and Michael Bouyea; and many cousins and beloved family and friends. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Patricia and Arthur White; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Dobbs; paternal grandparents, Joann Bouyea, and Earl "Pa" Moore; aunts and uncles, Darlene Wood, Francis "Butch" Bouyea, Susan Branham, and Michelle "Pixie" Spooner. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, beginning at 1 pm, at the Peru VFW Post 309. Donations in her memory may be made to the Saranac Veterinary Clinic to help those in need, with their animal care.
