Jacqueline “Jackie” Chauvin Keeseville - Jacqueline Marie (Glaude) Chauvin, 92, of Hill Street, Keeseville, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2023 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on December 1, 1930, the daughter of Albert and Annie (Quilliam) Glaude. Jackie grew up in Champlain, NY and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1948. She met her husband, John Chauvin, while working at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. They were married at St. Mary’s church in Champlain on April 18, 1958, and lived in Plattsburgh, Florida, Alaska and finally Keeseville with their children supporting John’s military service. Jackie’s hobby was sewing, and for many years she made clothes for herself and her children. After John’s retirement from the military, they started Chauvin’s Business Systems, performing tax preparation and accounting services for the area. Jackie was very active in the community and was a trailblazer among women. After John passed away in 1985, she ran Chauvin’s Business Systems, and was the first female president of the Keeseville Kiwanis Club. Jackie was a very social person - embracing life to the fullest. She truly enjoyed entertaining, shopping, food, dancing, and laughing with family and friends - always dressed smartly with some snazzy jewelry. She was an active member of the Red Hatters, Catholic Daughters and a faithful parishioner of St. John the Baptist and St. Augustine’s parishes. She also loved music, and sang with the Keeseville/Peru Ecumenical Choir for many years. Jackie was an avid reader, and was considered a “regular” at the Keeseville Free Library. She was a world traveler and enjoyed many adventures with her family and friends spanning the globe including Canada, Europe, Scandinavia, Iceland, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Israel and Turkey. Left to cherish her memory, are her sons, Mark Chauvin (Sandra Spriggs Chauvin) of Keeseville, NY and Stephen Chauvin (Sandra Brick Chauvin) of Twinsburg, OH; step-daughter Linda (Christopher) Marriott of Mendlesham, UK; grandchildren, Danielle (Christopher) Phillips, Joseph (Rachel) Ribis, John (Sarah) Ribis, Erin (Andrew) Hepp, Jaimi (Ryan) Wells, Mark A.
