Viola M. "GG" Pray, 86, of Keeseville, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at home, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, May 10, 1936 the daughter of Victor and Mildred (Annis) Rock. She was raised in Peru and married William L. Pray on June 19, 1956. Viola enjoyed painting, gardening but most of all spending time with family was GG's favorite. She also loved worshiping with her church family at the Independent Baptist Church where she was a member for more than 50 years. Survivors include her children, Robin Pray, Russell (Linda) Pray, Charlene Pray, Brian Pray, Cindy Pray, Brenda (Darwin) Pray-Nolan, Joe (Rebecca) Pray, and Dan (Dawn) Pray; sister, Barbara Springer; 36 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Viola was predeceased by her husband, William L. Pray, March 6, 1991; daughter, Pamela Thomas; sons, Allen, William and Alfred Pray; grandchildren, Brianna Pray, Darren Pray, and Tracy Pray; and siblings, Lillian Watkins, Leona Spooner, George Rock, Norman Rock, and Helen Blaise. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will be held in the spring on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 10 am at the Independent Baptist Church in Keeseville. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project in memory of her husband, William L. Pray.
