Deborah D. “Debbie” Mesec, 74, of Winter Haven Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2022 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh on February 25, 1948, the daughter of George and Doris (Laforest) Tallman. Debbie graduated from Champlain Central School in 1966. She retired from Sodexo-Marriott after 37 years. Debbie’s favorite past time was spent with her grandchildren, winters in Florida, or having a drink with one of her many friends and family. She enjoyed camping, swimming and gambling! Debbie was escorted through the Valley of Darkness into the light of the Lord by her son, Robert “Bob” Mesec, whom she has missed immensely. She was also greeted into Heaven by her parents, George and Doris Tallman and in-laws, Felix and Bertha Mesec. She was also predeceased by Douglas Mesec, Darrell Mesec, Claudette Mesec, Claudius Mesec and Russell Mesec. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Reg Mesec; children, James and Avis Mesec of Champlain, April and Randy Brooks of Peru; grandchildren, Tyler Mesec and his companion, Tessa Allen, Whitney and Joseph Kalin, Brittney and Nolan Johnson, Brianna and Kyle Rock, Nora Mesec and Keagan Brooks, great-grandson Waylon Mesec and a great-granddaughter on the way; Siblings, George and Donna Tallman, Susan and Michael Spofford, Crystal and Richard Carter, Pamela and Mark Cayea, Joan and Cliff Sterling, Melissa and Brian LaRock; In-laws, Veronica and Bill LaBombard, Wanda Langley, Ronald Mesec, Donald and Debbie Mesec, Mechelle Mesec and Nancy Mesec. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 3 to 5 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 27 Church Street, Chazy, with Rev. Theodore A. Crosby celebrating. Donations in memory of Deborah D. Mesec may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or Hospice of the North Country.
