Philip L. Dyke, 69, of the Salmon River Road, Plattsburgh, died Monday, October 3, 2022 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with loved ones by his side. He was born in Brighton, Boston, Massachusetts, September 3, 1953, the son of Philip L. and Mary P. (Murphy) Dyke. He attended James J. Chiddick Elementary, Washington Irving Jr. High, and High Park High School. Phil was a life-long truck driver. He owned and operated his own trucking company for 47 years, prior to retiring in 2016. He also worked for William Henophy Logistics and Trucking and Brian Deno in West Chazy. Phil lived in Massachusetts until 2000 when he moved to Constable, and then to Plattsburgh in 2013. Phil enjoyed sitting at the Cape in Boston with friends, water skiing, and disassembling and reassembling watches. Left to cherish the memories of Phil are, daughter, Rebecca C. Dyke of MA; sister, Patricia A. Rudy of MA; brothers, John P. “Jay” Dyke and wife, Wendy of MA, and James M. Dyke and wife, Jackie of MA; his companion, Trudy A. Snyder of Plattsburgh; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Committal prayers and burial will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11:30 am in St. Augustine’s Cemetery in Peru with Rev. Scott R. Seymour, officiating. All are invited to attend.
