Karen McIntyre Gosnell, 63, of LaFlure Lane, Peru, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the UVM Medical Center, Burlington, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Massena, NY on May 16, 1958, the daughter of Eldon and Lucette (Granger) McIntyre. Karen graduated from Peru Central School in 1976 and Mohawk Valley Community College in 1978. She married her high school sweetheart, David R. Gosnell on July 12, 1980. After raising her young children, Karen started working at Clinton Community College. Then she became the Marketing Director at PARC in charge of bringing new businesses and opportunities to the North Country. Karen found her true calling as a real estate agent and loved working with families to find their perfect home. She began her career at Fessette Realty followed by RE-MAX North County. This past Winter Karen was honored as the North Country Realtor of the Year. Outside of her professional career, she found great purpose and joy in volunteering and supporting causes she truly believed in. She served as a board member for the North Country Chapter of the America Red Cross and the Clinton County Board of Realtors. Karen’s energy and presence always filled a room. She brought so much joy to her family and friends. Her determination to make memories with everyone in her life has provided great comfort during this difficult time. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 41 years, David R. Gosnell; children, Alyssa Read (Michael) of Saratoga Springs, NY; Deanna Rabon (William) of Wilmington, NC; and Granger Gosnell (Katie Cunningham) of Burlington, VT; grandchildren, Hailey and Henry Read; mother, (Lucette McIntyre); mother-in-law, Arlene Gosnell; brother, Steve McIntyre (Sheila); sister, Victoria Venduro (Joseph); nieces, nephews, cousins and many near and dear friends. In addition to her father, Eldon McIntyre, she was predeceased by her father-in-law, Robert F. Gosnell. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Augustine’s Church, Peru with the Rev. Scott Seymour, celebrating. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Patent Road, Peru, will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Karen M.
