William Joseph "Bill" Majka, 79, of Big Hill Road, Peru, passed away on April 15, 2022 at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Springfield, MA, on December 23, 1942, the son of William P. and Julia (Foley) Majka. Bill had a love for electronics. He graduated from the Ward School of Electronics in Hartford Connecticut. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S Army, where he worked as a Cryptographic Maintenance Specialist. After his discharge, he worked for Hamilton Standard, then ultimately ended up working for IBM as a customer engineer. When he retired after 30 years, he spent his time farming on the "Big Hill Farm." Left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 34 years, Sheryl (Jochim) Majka, and many close friends that he considered family; Ann M. Hall (whom he considered his daughter) and Dennis Darrah; his dearly beloved grandchildren, Reese and Tia Hall, also Jakie and Joey Gaulin; and other close family and friends include; Leon Chouinard and Lauren Chouinard. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Richard D. "Dick" Majka PHD. Honoring his wishes, there will be no public calling hours.
