Elizabeth C. “Liz” Meyer, 77, of Salmon River Road, Plattsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the Plattsburgh Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Jay on December 24, 1944, the daughter of William and Ardel (Reynolds) Cobb. Liz, also known as Lizzie to her family, lived her life to the fullest. Never one to hold back on her words, she commanded the room. Early on in her work career she was a security guard in California for many years. Upon returning to the North Country, she started doing home health care within the Malone area. She retired in the early 2000’s and enjoyed her quiet time at home and visiting with her family when she was able. She often ended her evenings with vodka and sprite with “a lot of ice”, her favorite drink. She enjoyed crafting when she was able. Left to cherish her memory is her long-time companion, Brent Martin; six children, Leon Brown, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada, Michelle Siska of Ballston Spa, Tammy Day of Clifton Park, Jimmy Brown from Michigan, Debbie Heiser from Austin, Texas, and Jennifer (Mark) Shaw of Mystic, Connecticut; her only remaining sister, Linda (David) Toner of Plattsburgh; nephews, Todd (Tammy) Hollon of NC, Tommy (Gilda) Hollon of Plattsburgh, Kirt (Lynette) Lamkins of NC, Peter Reynolds and Robbie Reynolds; nieces, Kristi (Peter) Duso of Plattsburgh NY, Sara Toner of Peru NY, Karen (Doug) Woods of OK, Kathy (Garrod) Slater of Plattsburgh NY and Danielle (Jimmy) Stone of Plattsburgh NY. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her spouse, Alois Meyer; siblings, Frances Cobb (John) Taylor, Mary Lynn Cobb, and Robert (Diane) Reynolds. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 11 AM to Noon at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Elizabeth C.
