Robert Edward "Bob" LaFountain, 79, of Clinton Street, Keeseville, passed away to a place where only angels go, Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH, in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on April 19, 1942, the son of John and Viola (LaBounty) LaFountain. He graduated from Keeseville Central School in 1960. He married the love of this life, Susan M. Barber on August 26, 1961. Robert was initially employed at RB Prescott in Keeseville from 1958 to 1961. In 1961, he became a road manager for Betty's Cleaners, working there until 1975. In 1975, he became self employed when he purchased Bob's Trucking. Bob was an avid hunter and angler and also an avid NY Yankee fan. Bob is survived by his wife, Susan of 60 years; children, Tammy Reynolds of Malone, Tim (Bonnie) LaFountain of Keeseville, and Shawn (Molly) LaFountain of Keeseville; grandchildren, Megan Reynolds, Courtney Reynolds, Alex LaFountain, Katie LaFountain and Jamie LaFountain; great grandchildren, Zebulan Martin and Harper LaFountain; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Todd R. LaFountain; son-in-law, Merrill Reynolds; and a sister, June Doty. At Bob's request there will be no public calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Robert E. LaFountain may be made to the Keeseville Volunteer Fire Dept., or the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
