Roger Anthony Barber, Jr., 59, of the Standish Road, Lyon Mountain, died Monday, November 1, 2021 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, April 19, 1962, the son of Roger and Linda (Tourville) Barber. He grew up in Standish and graduated from Northern Adirondack Central School. Roger married the former Cindy Lavarnway, February 16, 1985, in St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. He worked for Asplin Tree Farm in Saranac Lake several years and later worked for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters for several years until 2015 when declining health forced his retirement. Roger was a member of Little Camp, and an honorary member of Maverick. He enjoyed playing music and fishing, but his true love was time with family especially his beloved grandchildren. Left to cherish the memory of Roger are, his wife of 36 years, Cindy Barber; his son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Meranda Barber of Standish; four grandchildren, Riley, Gavin, Noah, and Shea; his mother, Linda Barber of Plattsburgh; one sister, Sheri Nori of Rouses Point; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father. At Roger's request there will be no public services. Roger's family wish to extend a sincere and heartfelt "thank you" to the H. K. Freedman Renal Center staff for their care and kindness. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
