William Robert Thompson, 69, of the Lapham Mills Road, Peru, died Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on May 23, 1952, the son of Loyal and Grace (Pardy) Thompson. William had a love for cars. He spent many hours in his garage restoring and inventing his next ride. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a great outdoorsman. He worked at WalMart in Plattsburgh for 26 years, where he met the love of his life. Together they built a life full of laughs, love and friendship. His dedication to his children and family was top priority. He has left his mark on all who met him. Survivors include the love of his life, Charlene Lapham; five daughters, Samantha Weston (Bradford Swift), Nichole Strong, Nicole Clary (Billy Favreau), Billi Jo Hendrie (Danny Hendrie), and Stephanie Monette (Kent Monette); several grandchildren, Heather (Greg) and Darrel Weston, Grace Ann Strong, Jailynn (Josh), Lauryn (Brandan), Ryleigh (Jackson) Clary, Casey and Abby Hendrie, Kelsey, Austin, Brayden and Bentley Monette; two great-granddaughters, Kinsley and Kaden Young; sister, Deborah Thompson; brother, Al Jenkins; and his special friend, Waco. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Marilyn Passino, and Lani Provost; brother, “Butch” Jenkins; brother-in-law, Ronnie Blow; sister-in-law, Joan Lamare; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Carter; and mother and father-in-law, Pauline and Charles Rougier. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 1 to 3 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
