Charlene Ann Sperle, 81, of Amber Lane, Schuyler Falls, died Friday, September 3, 2021 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Fort Meade, South Dakota, March 16, 1940, the daughter of Ralph and Carol (Reikow) Masters. She married Robert Sperle, March 28, 1959. He predeceased her June 14, 2000. Charlene was a child care provider at the Child Care Center on the Plattsburgh Air Force Base and later for Bright Beginnings. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, coloring books, and spending time with her family. Her true love in life was caring for children. Left to cherish the memory of Charlene are her daughter and son-law, Roberta and Clyde Doty, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tina (Collins) Sperle; five grandchildren; Shaun, Travis, Turner, Brandon, and Heather; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Eugene Masters in 2017. Relatives and friends may call Friday, September 10, 2021 from 3 to 4 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at 4 PM in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the Schuyler Falls Cemetery.
